What uses email credits

When useArtemis uses a credit: emails found for a list or in Discover, each Verifier check, extension reveals. Searches and the Finder are free.

On this page

Credits are used when you get an email address or check one: 1 credit per email found (for a lead list or in Discover), 1 per address checked in the Verifier, and 1 per reveal in the Chrome extension. Searching, browsing and saving leads don't use credits.

Where to see your credits

  • In the header: the "N credits" badge at the top right of every page. Click it to open Settings › Billing.
  • In Settings › Billing: the Credits card shows your credits left, with a Get more credits button.
  • In the account menu (your name at the bottom of the sidebar): Credits shows your credits left and your monthly credits. In a team workspace, it shows Team credits.

What uses a credit

Action Where Credits
Find emails for a list Prospects › a list › Find emails 1 per lead whose email is found. Nothing for leads marked Not found.
Reveal an email in Discover Discover › Reveal (people results or a company's panel) 1 when an email is found. Nothing when no email is found.
Verify an address Verifier 1 per address checked, whatever the result (Valid, Risky, Invalid or Unknown).
Reveal a LinkedIn profile Chrome extension › Reveal details 1 per reveal, as shown on the button.

What doesn't use credits

  • Searching people and companies in Discover, using the filter suggestions and opening a company.
  • Saving Discover results to a list.
  • Searching a domain in the Finder and downloading its CSV.
  • Uploading a CSV file of leads.

How many credits you need to start

Action Requirement Message when you don't have enough
Find emails for a list More credits than there are leads in the list "You need at least N credits."
Reveal in Discover At least 1 credit "Not enough credits. You need at least 1 credit to reveal a contact."
Verifier At least 1 credit "Not enough credits" (a pasted list stops at that point)
Chrome extension At least 1 credit "You don't have enough credit."

For a list, the check counts every lead in it, even those that already have an email, but you're only charged for the emails actually found.

Team workspaces

When you work in a team (pages under /teams/<team-name>/), the header shows the team's credits. Discover reveals and Verifier checks made in the team workspace use the team's credits, not your personal ones. See Work with your team.

Running low on credits

Click Get more credits in Settings › Billing, or see pricing. Changing plan: Change your plan.

FAQ

Am I charged when no email is found?

Not for Find emails on a list or Reveal in Discover: you only pay for emails found. The Verifier is different: every address checked uses a credit, even if it turns out Invalid or Unknown.

Does checking the same address twice in the Verifier cost twice?

Yes. Each check uses 1 credit, and the new result replaces the old one in the table.

I revealed an email in Discover, then saved the person to a list. Will Find emails charge me again?

Yes, if the email is found again: emails revealed in Discover aren't copied to the list. If you plan to save people to a list, skip the reveal and run Find emails on the list.

Do I get credits back if I delete a lead or clear my Verifier results?

No. Credits are used when the email is found or checked, and aren't refunded afterwards.
